Redskins Welcome Back From Seattle (1/15/2006:
2-3am) |
It was a tough loss but congratulations to the
Seahawks. I braved the blustery cold conditions with about 60 other fans
to welcome the team back to Redskins Park. As I left my house I could
actually see the plane landing at Dulles in the distance.
Gibbs was first to arrive in a limo at about
2:25am. He
got out and signed autographs until everyone was satisfied. He thanked us
for our support and for coming out in the freezing cold. The player's
buses arrived about 10 minutes later and then a minute or so after that the
players started to drive out. The only one that stopped was big Joe Salave'a. He's a super nice guy and signed autographs for everyone.
I just found out on a message board that Gibbs
actually had another flight to catch but came to Redskins Park just to see us,
then went back to Dulles.
